Introducing Kodi Adu (Goat)

Kodi Adu Goats Are Tall, Long, Lean And Leggy Animals With Compact Body. Females Have Short, Straight And Sleek Hairs On Almost All Parts Of The Body. Males Have Fairly Long, Straight And Rough Hairs On The Neck And Withers.White with splashes of black or reddish brown colour.

Kodi adu goats are reared primarily for meat.

Breed characteristics

The extremities i11cluding face, ears and legs are generally coloured and dark. Kodi Adu goats are grouped into 2 colour varieties, viz. Kamm porai (blackish) and Chem porai (reddish brown). Admixture of the 2 colours including various grades are also seen. Baring colour differences, morphologically the animals of the two colour types are'similar. Both the sexes are homed. The horns open apart slightly as they grow upward, backward and curve down or up sharply at the tip. The average hom length is 19.0 ± 1.16 cm (13) in males and 12.6 ± 0.48 cm (59) in females. The ears are medium in size, curved forward, slightly drooping but alert. The average ear1ength is 15.27 ± 0.10 cm (68). Tail is medium sized and thi11; average length is 17.19:!: 0.22 cm'
